Hema’s expertise

Entrepreneur and founder of Kumari Consulting, Hema Stewart, has over 10 years experience in the world of Marketing. Hem’s marketing experience includes working for; a leading department store in London, a recruitment and head-hunting firm, a range of global marketing agencies (from digital creative, to social, research, strategy and more).

In 2019 Hema took her vast knowledge of marketing and two entrepreneurial ideas and created her own businesses; Curlicue and Kumari Consulting. Two very different businesses. Curlicue is a sustainable product-based business focused on the consumer market and Kumari Consulting is a service-based business.

Having launched her own businesses, Hema has developed a fundamental first-hand understanding of an entrepreneur’s challenges. Her unique perspective as an entrepreneur and marketing expert means she’s perfectly placed to help business owners with the marketing challenges they face.

Hema is a generalist marketer. Unlike many marketers, Hema chose not to specialise in a sub-set of marketing so that she could develop a holistic approach to marketing. Her breadth of knowledge means she is perfectly placed to help business owners tackle the challenges they face with marketing. Hema isn’t biased about one type of marketing over another (for example, social media over content marketing). Instead, she focuses on solving the real problem at the heart, going beyond just treating the symptoms. In this way, Hema can point her clients in the right direction without an agenda. In fact, she’s built a network of marketing specialists around her to introduce her clients to trusted professionals that can help solve the specific problems that are identified so that they can continue improving their marketing efforts beyond just working with her.
